While I knew many of you while we were on the Cochrane, I have lost my DD-214. It's not in my bank box as I thought is was all these years. Does anyone know how I can get a replacement? I would very much appreciate this information.

Coop you may want to start with your local V.A. They should have some idea. If that doesn't work you might have some luck with a mortgage company. I'm sure they have to do it all the time to obtain VA home loans.

Hey Coop, have some info for you concerning replacement of your lost DD-214. If the info that John gave you doesn't help, you may also contact the National Personnel Records Center at (314)538-4141. May also write to them addressed to the National Personnel Records Center
9700 Page Ave. St. Louis,Mo. 63132-5100. They also have a website, it's www.nara.gov/regional/mpr.html They say that it takes anywhere from 4 to 6 mths. to process request for replacement DD-214. Hope that this info helps you out.

Your local Service officer from your Legion or VFW posts can also assist. Ours is very good and can obtain them (replacements) in a couple of weeks, unlike the usual Gov bull shit. If ya need help, send me your info and I'll put my Service Officer on it!
