Shipmates,

I come to you with a dire request. The last of the Adams Class DDGs the Charles F. Adams is scheduled for scrapping. The Adams Class Veterans Association (ACVA) is trying to find a home for the ship and convert it into a Memorial/Museum. It is on donation hold right now and NavSea is getting ready to scrap her. We are simply asking for an extension.

I request that you mail, phone, e-mail or visit your Congressmen and or Senators and support the ACVA in their hopes to save the last DDG of it's class. The class has a proud and noble history, don't let the last ship go the way of the other 22 Adams Class DDGs.
