My brother in law GMGSC John Kleman passed away in Samoa in 2005 after a long bout with cancer- he was at Tripler in Hawaii but desired to return "home" to Samoa,
He served on the Cochrane until early 77 I believe

I remember him well. When I first arrived in 1975 I had to stay in the G Division area because 1st Div Berthing was full. I was so green and nervous I would ask anyone questions. He always had the time and never cut me short. RIP Sailor.
