I couldn t agree more..during the 66 deployment, my father died and I had to return to Oklahoma for the funeral. I had to highline to an AO,then helo to the carrier, catapult off the carrier on a COD flight to NAS Cubi Pt, etc. I thought it was strange that QM1 Lepak was helping with the highline rigging until he placed an envelope in my shirt pocket..I don t remember how much, but he had collected a substantial amount of money from my shipmates to help me on emergency leave, and he only had about 24 hours to do it...Brotherhood??? I should say so!!!

YA KNOW , THAT IS ABOUT THE MOST RIGHT ON THING I HAVE HEARD ON HERE . REGARDLESS OF ALL THE OTHER BULLSHIT , WE REALLY DID CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER EVEN THO SOME OF DID NOT WANT TO ADMIT IT >
