Dave,

This sounds like an appropriate ceremony for our gone, but not forgotten shipmates. I'll be happy to take part as directed...too bad we can't do a gun salute...don't think the boarder patrol (and believe me they'll be all around) would be to fond of that...Sal

The only pipe call I know is 1 short followed imediately bt a long triling off followed by "Liberty Call"...Another idea for the deceased..we could all gather on the fantail, if they let us on board, and during the moment of silence, toss a rose for each one we know of over the side. I did a legion ceremony similar to this once for a fisherman .(Marine vet) that never returned. I would be glad to due a partial ceremony from the American Legion handbook..very touching and is for all services..let me know if you guys want this service or not...I was Post Commander 4 times and State Vice Commander and have performed many, too many, services.

Dave, that really does sound like a fitting ceremony.

Hang on guys!...Late last nite I was able to revive my old Sony TC355...I can give you a 21 shot salvo from MT51! Of course the largest continuous salvo I have is eight. A lot of 5 shot salvos, but from the time that only one of the transfer trays in the mount were working so there are three quick and then a pause and two more. The last two had to come all the way up from the magazine. With a little creative editing I can get 21 continuous...now lay that over taps on the other track and you have a tear jerker...
What do you think? How about a BIG BOOM BOX!
