Does anyone remember the music we used to play at break away from at sea refueling or supply transfer's I can almost hear it in the back of my mind 'but can not place it. seem's sad as I heard it so much in the wespack era of 74-75 Just getting old I guess. Steve

Steve, now I'll ask a question, who was the Chief that use to always shoot the ship we were breaking away from "The Moon" from "Mount 52"?

The chief was GMC Evans, thereafter refered to as Moon Evans. When I was onboard from 69 - 75 they played "one Paddle Two Paddle" during the breakaways. Everytime the IC's would lose the tape it seemed that the XO would come up with another one. So it never really changed.

We played the theme song from Hawaii Five-O from 77-79.....it was sweet.

Thank you all, I thought it was Hawaii 50 just wasn't sure as it has been a long time. Jerry Bruce beat me to it although I didn't remember that untill he said Evan's being a hole snipe I only heard about it but it doesn't sound like a pretty sight ahh yes the good ole day's.
