Cochrane was in 3 squadrons that I know of 25 from her arrival in Pearl until '73 when she went to Desron 33, then back to 25 in '78 and ended up in 15 in Japan. Does anyone remember the ship's song? "1 paddle, 2 paddle" then changed to "Hawaii 5-0" theme.

When I was there, was DesFlot 5, DesRon 25, DesDiv 252, but sometimes switched to DesDiv 251, we were flagship for both, but primarily 252. Captain Turner was the Commodore for awhile: and was my CO at NavCommSta Stockton. He commented more than once on what a good "outfit" Cochrane was.
